You trade goods and build outposts across the ancient Roman empire. The rules take about five minutes to learn but deciding the optimal time to play each card is the real puzzle. The scoring happens at the very end so you are never entirely sure who is actually winning. Do not let the box cover fool you because the gameplay is top tier. It provides a nice balance of luck and strategy without feeling unfair. We break this out constantly when the weather is miserable outside.
